Announcement By GSO on Returning to Traditional Meetings

Following on from The Prime Minister's recent statements, regarding a measured return to traditional societal norms, GSO have discussed the possibility of whether meetings can start reverting back from the virtual to the corporeal.

Notts/Leicestershire Intergroup and Derbyshire Intergroup have taken Governmental advice and also that of AA UK. A concise version of the guidelines can be expressed as this:-

Following the UK Government's announcement of new restrictions on social gathering to suppress the coronavirus, effective from Monday September 14th, GSO has been advised by Public Health England, that in England, AA groups of up to 30 people are permitted to meet in person provided they meet in Covid-19 Secure Venues, strictly adhere to Social Distancing protocols and where local lockdowns are in place, to pay particular heed to local ordinances.
